Driver remains wanted after car collides with wall

A car collided with a wall in Boston at the weekend after a man police wanted to speak to was followed by officers.

A police spokesman said the force had been made aware that Notthinghamshire Police were looking for the man and had spotted the vehicle in Boston in the early evening of Saturday.

The vehicle failed to stop for officers and they began following the car, however, it collided with the wall on Marian Road at about 6.15pm.

The driver, believed to be from Nottinghamshire, fled from the vehicle on foot, but a 24-year-old female passenger was arrested on suspicion of theft of the vehicle. She was later released on bail.

The spokesman confirmed the driver remains outstanding and enquiries are ongoing with Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire to trace him.
