Boston gold market trader Eggy James is back in business and determined he won’t be beaten.

Mr James, who owns the S. James Jewellery stall, was robbed on the morning of November 3 by a group of men who threatened him and stole his van containing a large amount of jewellery.

This week he has been back on the market - but with a much smaller stall.

“I’m going to try and build my business back up again,” he said.

“I’m now relying on people bringing me their scrap gold jewellery.”

The James family gave thanks to customers and Facebook friends who offered their support.

Three local men, all aged in their 20s, have now been arrested in connection with the offence and have been released on bail.
