THE irony was something which few people could fail to notice; on the day Lincolnshire’s hosepipe ban began, the county was hit by a downpour which lasted through much of last Tuesday and Wednesday.
Not only that, but just one week before, Bostonians had been basking in the sunshine, with temperatures up to 28 Celcius.
Several parts of Boston were hit by flash floods because of the downpour.
On Wednesday, The Standard’s photographer snapped this flooded road in Fishtoft, which was causing problems for motorists driving through the village. And across town at Asda, we spotted this sign asking people to take care in a rather water-logged section of car park.
