Free family fun at Showcase event
Tuesday 9.15am - A FREE fun day out for all the family, described as 'one of the biggest annual events in Boston' is coming up in the town's Central Park.
Boston Community Showcase will take place on Sunday, September 12, from 10am to 4pm, and feature stalls, displays and entertainment.

he event, now in its fifth year, gives community and voluntary groups a chance to showcase themselves across more than 100 stalls.
Live bands and entertainment at the show will include a mini funfair, Boston Youth Jazz Orchestra, arts, crafts, games and activities, dance workshops, drama recitals and a food court.
A spokesman for Boston Community Showcase said: "This event is designed to attract and reach people who might not otherwise be aware of community groups, voluntary organisations, social enterprises, sports groups and statutory services which are available to them.
"The event provides a fun element in terms of entertainment and activities for young people, while at the same time disseminating a wide range of advice and information to the community on what is available to them."
There will be opportunities for people to become actively involved in local groups and projects. In addition, the event will offer opportunities for people to access services and education. It also aims to promote a wide range of voluntary roles.
The event is organised through a partnership made up of South Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service, Boston Mayflower, HMP North Sea Camp, Age Concern, Boston Borough Council, Hearing Dogs, Lincolnshire Police and Taylor ITEX.
Mandy Exley, South Lincs CVS Boston Community Development Officer, said: "The partnership is quite unique in the fact we all have our skills to bring to the table.
"Without all the in-kind contributions from volunteers and partners, the event would cost 64,000 to stage instead of the 12,500 we currently budget for."
