Maternity services in Boston are set for improvement, after it was announced they would share in a £25 million fund to improve NHS units.
The department at Pilgrim Hospital will receive money for a number of new items, including a new birth pool.
It comes following news earlier in the week that birth rates in Boston had increased by more than 50 per cent in the last few years. The are was named as one of the top three birth ‘hotspots’ in the country.
