Police have now formally confirmed that the body found in the river in Boston last Sunday was that of Jed Alexander Bateman.
Mr Bateman, 27, of White Horse Lane in Boston, was pulled from the Haven near High Street at about 9.20am on May 18.
A statement from the police said: “We are still waiting for toxicology report to establish the cause of death. Currently there is no evidence to suggest a crime has been committed associated with the death of Jed and it is not being treated as suspicious. The body has been released back to the family.”
Officers are continuing their inquiries to try to establish Jed’s last movements so that they provide a full report to the cornor for an inquest hearing.
He had been reported to them on the Thursday, having last been seen on the Wednesday.
An inquest was opened on May 23 and adjourned date to be fixed.
