May I ‘thank’ the wonderful people of Boston for yet again contributing an amazing total of £24,148-75 for the Poppy Appeal.

This in a very hard year for most people who are suffering due to the recession, but as normal they ‘dug deep’ into their pockets and put their hard-earned money into

our Poppy collecting tins.

My thanks also go to all the many collectors, who stand for hours in supermarkets, knock on doors and stand in the Market Place etc in usually

the most inhospitable weather (this year being no exception).

We really do need all the volunteers and there is always room for more, they just have to get in touch with me and I will put their name and

address on our ‘database’, I will contact them around October to see if they are still available.

Once again ‘thank you people of Boston, we can always rely on you’.
