Lincolnshire County Council tax frozen

LINCOLNSHIRE County Council has frozen its council tax for the second year running.

The authority confirmed today that it would not be increasing the money collected from residents in the county, but would endeavour to retain front line services.

A Government grant, which offers financial support to authorities which keep the increase lower than 2.5 per cent, has enabled the authority to keep the cost the same.

Several weeks ago Boston Borough Council announced it would be freezing its council tax rate for the fourth year in a row.
