Fire crews rescued a man from a six foot deep ditch this lunchtime (Monday).
A spokesman for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said the emergency services were called to the A52 Swineshead Road, near the Four Crossroads Inn, in Boston, at 1.32pm.
They said a rescue boat was initially called out because the ditch was known to be filled with water usually, however, on this occasion it was dry and the vehicle was not needed.
Instead, members of fire and rescue used a ladder to get the man out of the six foot deep ditch.
East Midlands Ambulance Service checked the man over.
Although unconfirmed by Lincs Fire and Rescue, it is believed the man is 65-years-old and from Swineshead.
