Man in court after car collides with man

Wednesday, 1pm - A SUTTERTON man has been charged in relation to a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Wednesday.

Scott Fitzjohn, 19, of Churchgate, Sutterton, has been charged with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The accident, which happened at around 10pm on Wash Way Road, Holbeach, near Spalding, has left a 37-year-old man with serious chest and head injuries.

He is being treated in Pilgrim Hospital.

Fitzjohn appeared before Grantham Magistrates on Friday.

No plea was entered and he was committed to Lincoln Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on August 8.

He was remanded in custody.
