MP Mark Simmonds hailed new figures showing the number of homes being built and Help to Buy mortgages handed out in Boston.
The Boston and Skegness MP said work on 110 new homes was started in the 12 months to March 2014 while 13 families have received a mortgage under Help to Buy. The scheme offers a guarantee to lenders that helps to ensure some buyers only need to find a fiver per cent deposit.
Mr Simmonds said it helped overcome the issues facing buyers since the reession, adding: “The Conservatives, as part of our long-term economic plan, launched Help to Buy and reinvigorated Right to Buy so that more people could get on the housing ladder.
“With new homes currently under construction in Boston and Skegness even more families will now be able
to achieve their dream of owning their own home and enjoy greater financial security thanks to the Conservatives.”
