The family of Charlotte Piccaver, one of two people murdered by Boston landlord Mehmet Ozen, have spoken of their ‘relief’ at last week’s guilty verdict.
Ozen, 41, of Red Lion Street, was found guilty of murdering Miss Piccaver and Darren Harwood, both 26, after a row over rent money at his flat.
He was handed a life sentence, to serve a minimum of 27 years behind bars.
Speaking after the verdict, Charlotte Piccaver’s family said: “After months of suffering and anguish, it is a relief to hear the guilty verdict. Charlotte was a loving, loyal daughter to all her family and friends.
“Her death leaves a void that will never be filled but the guilty verdict allows us to start looking forward, rather than being in limbo, and we thank everyone involved in the case.”
