But that is exactly what greeted visitors on Saturday as the Boston Town Team held its first event, Local Food for Thought.

Activities also took place in the Blenkin Memorial Hall.

The afternoon was designed to celebrate the produce we have here in Lincolnshire and to help people in the Boston
area improve their knowledge of healthy food, how to prepare it for tasty meals and where to buy it from.

There was further advice on how to grow your own fruit and vegetables.

People were also challenged to milk a mechanical cow.

The event was funded by Boston BIG Local and supported by Boston Mayflower.
