The Pageant itself takes place on Saturday and Sunday, June 25 and 26, and will commemorate the last journey of King John – who was allegedly killed using poison from toads back in 1216.

Photographer David Dawson went along to get some toad-ally awesome snaps.

The next workshop at Coffee Corner, High Street, Swineshead, is on Saturday, March 5, and will see people making medieval jewellery.
