Plans lodged for woodland and fishing pond

Plans have been lodged to transform a field in Swineshead into a woodland with fishing pond.

Alan Thompson, of Frithville, has made an application for land off Boston Road to Boston Borough Council.

The plan would see the 3.85 hectare site landscaped and screened from the nearby A52 by trees.

The plans state: “This development is to create an environmentally attrative woodland and fishing pond and will reinstate a wildlife area attracting many birds and small mammals which have been lost to this area for some time.”

They also add that the odd shape of the site makes it unsuitable for farming.
