Police get on the buses
Sunday, 9am - PASSENGERS on the Boston Into Town service will be given advice and freebies on Wednesdays as crime prevention goes mobile.
Pc Nic Hanson, crime prevention officer for the Boston area, will be on the buses for two hours every Wednesday from 10am offering crime prevention and safety advice to travellers.
He will also be handing out freebies such as purse bells, security markers and Crimestoppers pens.
Pc Hanson said: "I am looking forward to meeting as many local people as possible travelling in and out of town.
"The aim of the initiative is to give as many people as possible important crime prevention information as well as advice on personal safety.
"Hopping on a bus is just another way of tapping into a different audience and offering more people more advice."
The initiative is the result of a partnership between Pc Hanson, Brylaine Travel and the national Crimestoppers charity which launched an offensive against acquisitive crime last month.
