Swimming 2.4 miles, cycling 112 and then running a full marathon is the sort of feat you may expect from a comicbook superhero.
But this is exactly what Wyberon man Andrew Crook will face when he takes on the challenge of the aptly-named Ironman UK Triathlon – aiming to complete the 140.6-mile course within 17 hours.
Andrew, of Tytton Close, will take part in the arduous challenge to raise money for the charity Scope.
“I’ve done a few marathons in the past but nothing as extreme as this before,” he said.
The event will take place in Bolton on August 4 next year. To sponsor him drop in to Pet Store, in West Street, Boston.
