Punk raises charity awareness

Monday, 1.15pm - PUNK and the church have joined forces in Boston to help save the lives of children in Latin America.

Punk 4 The Homeless (P4TH) and the Centenary Methodist Church teamed up to hold a gig raising awareness of Casa Alianza, the Street Children Charity.

Bands such as Freedom Faction and Noise Agents played to a crowd of about 50 people.

Casa Alianza helps children to have a home and hope for the future.

Using outreach and pre-community work with homeless young people they offer access to crisis centres, transition homes and group homes.

Gary Eagling, event organiser, said: "It's been very successful, and went really well, everybody had a really good time."

The next event is on May 1, in the Centenary Methodist Church, Redlion Street, Boston.
