Recycle used printer cartridges and electronic items and raise money for veterans’ charity

Borough residents are being encouraged to send their empty inkjet printer cartridges, toners, electronic gadgets and mobile phones to a Boston company – to raise funds for a war veterans charity.
The Recycling Company has just announced a partnership with national charity The Gurkha Welfare Trust (GWT) to recycle the items to help raise vital funds.
The aim of the GWT is to relieve poverty and distress among Gurkha veterans and their dependants.
Donna Wingfield, the company’s business development manager, said: “We are proud to be working in partnership with the trust and look forward to helping make a real difference to the lives of Gurkha ex-servicemen and their dependants both in Nepal and the UK.
“The recycling scheme provides an easy and cost-free way for people to show their support.”
Through the recycling scheme, supporters can send their empty and unused items in and the GWT will receive a donation for each item that can be successfully recycled.
There is no cost to the charity for The Recycling Factory to operate the scheme.
All recycling materials such as freepost envelopes and collection boxes are supplied completely free of charge.
To request freepost envelopes call 0800 091 0696, email gwt@trf-uk.com or visit www.therecyclingfactory.com/gwt
