Sharp decline in area's benefit tally
The number of people claiming out-of-work benefits in Boston fell sharply last month.
The borough’s count dropped from 645 to 590 between May and June – the biggest monthly drop since May, 2015, when it fell by 80 to 645 from April.
This year’s June is roughly in line with last year’s June, being 10 lower. However, it is more noticeably down on June, 2014 (by 215) and June, 2013 (by 610).
