Casey Scott, 29, is accused of killing Lenuta Ioana Haidemac whose body was found in a flat on Drummond Road, Skegness, on Friday of last week (22 July).

Scott, of Drummond Road, Skegness, is charged with the murder of Ms Haidemac between 19 and 22 of July.

Ms Haidemac, who lived in the Monks Road area of Lincoln, but also had connections to Boston and Skegness, was last seen after being dropped off in Drummond Road at around 10pm on Wednesday 20 July.

Police had launched an appeal for Ms Haidemac after becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.

Scott spoke only to confirm his name during the four minute hearing.

He made no application for bail today and Judge Michael Heath remanded him in custody to appear back at the Crown Court on 21 October for a plea and case management hearing.

A provisional trial date was set down for January 23.
