Small increase in migration figures

Friday - THE number of overseas nationals registering for work in Boston has risen slightly.

This is according to the latest figures from the Department for Work and Pensions.

The number of National Insurance numbers issued to adult foreign nationals in the borough was 2,170 for the 2009 financial year, up from 2,140 for 2008/09.

Boston leads the county, with South Holland next on 1,340 (a drop from 1,420).
