Success for High School in league tables

Boston High School has been ranked within the top 50 schools in the UK, according to league tables published this week.
The recently-converted academy has taken the 50th spot after students achieved a 100 per cent A*-C pass rate in their GCSEs last year. Another score, which shows how much students have progressed during their time at the school, was also high.
Other schools in the area also have cause to celebrate. Boston Grammar School managed a 96 per cent pass rate, and Giles Academy, in Old Leake, improved on its pass rate the year before.
The biggest improvement, however, was seen at William Lovell School, in Stickney, with the pass rate rising from 42 per cent in 2011, to 67 per cent last year.
Headteacher Andrew Fulbrook said: “I am delighted. It is an outstanding achievement.”
