More than 100 children and young people enjoyed a theatre show in Boston that aimed to ‘break down cultural barriers’.

Paper Wings was staged at Park Community School in Boston by The Alchemy Project, which is working with the different communities who are now living in the town.

“It was a truly magical experience,” said David Lambert of cultural solutions UK, which is delivering the Alchemy Project on behalf of JUST Lincolnshire, the county’s human rights organisation.

After the show the actors from Rhubarb Theatre encouraged the audience to join in with some dancing and answered questions about the show.

Many of those who saw the show attend the Polish School which is held at Park Community School each Saturday.

The production was part of a programme of events The Alchemy Project has been running in the town in the last few months.
