TIME-LAPSE: From vacant pub to £1.3m shop in 41 weeks

After starting work on it last summer, Lincolnshire Co-op opened its new food store in Woodville Road, Boston, this morning (Thursday).

The build involved the demolition of the Lord Nelson public house, which had stood vacant for some time ahead of the work.

This video contains two time-lapse sequences of the pub’s demolition and new shop’s construction.

The longest of the two covers a nine-and-a-half month period from July, 2015, to Tuesday of this week and features just over 200 photos.

Part of the blink-and-miss-it demolition of the pub can be viewed in real time here.

As reported last week, the opening of the new store represents a £1.3m investment in the town and has created seven jobs.
