A man who has devoted his life to a veterans organisation both locally and nationally has been recognised for his tireless service over 27 years.
Keith Noel Crawford, 74, of Rainwall Court, Sutterton, has been given an Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the Queen’s New Year Honours list.
Mr Crawford is the national vice chairman for the Royal Naval Association and was awarded the gong for voluntary service to navy personnel, veterans and their families.
Mr Crawford has been a member of the association for 27 years, has been the national vice chairman for the past three years and is chair of the association’s management committee.
He has also been a member of the National Council for 15 years and is currently the chairman and national council member for No 9 Area which covers Lincolnshire, Humberside, South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire.
He has been Chairman of the Spalding Branch for 26 years.
Mr Crawford has also dedicated his time to Fosdyke Village Hall Committee as chairman.
