Two teenagers have been charged with the theft of cycles in Boston in connection to an incident on Thursday.

Valera Voitsehovski, 19, of Joy Paine Close, and a 17-year-old man who cannot be named for legal reasons, from Horseshoe Lane, in Kirton, will appear before Boston Magistrates on July 24.

The pair were arrested on Thursday after two alleged offenders were seen to enter a private garden and attempt to steal a bike.

Shortly before 9pm, the 17-year-old was arrested in the Main Ridge East area of the town and later that evening Voitsehovski was also arrested.

Cycle theft is one of the ‘Boston Big Three’ crimes and local officers have recently launched a campaign aimed at reducing the number of victims.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said that if anyone wanted to find out whether their bike has been recovered, they can check in with the front desk at Boston Police Station on Lincoln Lane.
