UPDATE: Police say there were not reported to be any serious injuries as a result of this morning’s A16 crash at Kirton.

The collision, reported to police at 5.26am this morning, involved a grey Vauxhall Corsa, silver Audi and Vauxhall Signum.

The Corsa, driven by a Boston motorist, ended in a ditch by the side of the road.

The road was closed until 7.30am.

Monday, 7.30am: The A16 has now re-opened at Kirton following a collision this morning.

The road had closed in both directions between Station Road and Saundergate Lane after a crash involving several vehicles.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are not yet known but the road is now said to be clear and open to motorists.

Monday, 7.15am: The A16 is closed at Kirton this morning following a ‘multi-vehicle accident’.

The road is shut in both directions between the B1397 Station Road junction and Saundergate Lane.

Full details of the accident are not yet known.
