UPDATE: Man in hospital for check-up after collision on the A17

A police update has confirmed the A17 junction with the Boardsides was closed following a collision between a Ford Transit Pickup and a Volkswagen Passat.

A force spokesman said that injuries were not thought to be serious, however, a male has gone to hospital for a checkover.

There are no further details at this time.

Friday, 1.14pm – The A17 is currently closed at the junction with the Boardsides after an incident involving a van.

A police spokesman said officers were called at 12.35pm to the road, where it is believed a truck or pick up van has leaked oil on the road.

They said an ambulance is in attendance but there is not currently believed to be any serious injuries suffered.

It is believed traffic is backed up as it is being diverted through Hubberts Bridge.

The road has already been closed for an hour while Lincolnshire County Council organise for the oil to be cleared up.
