The names of an elderly couple who died in a collision at New Leake on Friday have been revealed.
Police have confirmed that Roy and Ivy Emerson, both aged 83, of Hobhole Bank, New Leake died at the scene of the crash.
Saturday 9.45am: An elderly couple have died in a road collision at New Leake.
A Kia Picanto left the road and went into a water-filled ditch yesterday (Friday) at about 2pm.
The driver of the car and his wife, both 83, died at the scene.
They lived locally.
The road was reopened at 7pm.

Yesterday: Two serious casualties have been reported after a car went off the road into a water-filled ditch earlier this afternoon.
Emergency services are currently on the scene of the accident, which occurred at 2pm near the railway crossing at Fodderdryke Bank near New Leake.
The road is currently closed at the Station Road/Spilsby Road crossroads and at the Fen Bank/Low Road junction in Friskney.
