VIDEO: Bus protest in Boston

Wednesday, 1pm - PROTESTERS against buses running through pedestrianised Strait Bargate were today claiming victory after a trial bus had to be re-directed.

The bus, carrying Boston Borough Council leader Richard Austin, had to be diverted after an ambulance blocked off Strait Bargate.

A large crowd – complete with placards – had filled the Market Place to voice their concerns at busses being allowed to run through the town centre.

Earlier, a bus had successfully made its way through the precinct.

The new service is due to start on June 30.
