Man injured in A17 junction collision

A man has been taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham with serious injuries following a collision on the A17 this afternoon (Wednesday).

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman confirmed that a collision between two vehicles on the B1397 junction with the A17 had been reported to police at 1.40pm.

Although details were still coming in they confirmed emergency services were on scene and one man had been taken to Queens Medical Centre because he had been ‘quite seriously’ injured.

They said roads were likely to be blocked, with both sides of the carraigeway reported closed at 1.50pm, and diversions put in place but advised anyone travelling to avoid the area if they can
