Man left with ‘serious injuries’ after car leaves the road

A 27-year-old man has been left with serious injuries following a collision on the A16, in Stickford, on Friday.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman confirmed the incident took place at about 4.40pm and involved a Megane and an Astra

They said the Megane left the road and the 27-year-old male driver was airlifted to Queen’s Medical Centre, in Nottingham, with very serious injuries.

The driver of the Astra, a 39-year-old local man, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has since been bailed until November.

The road was closed until around 11pm that evening.
