BOSTON Market Place may still look like a building site, but glimpses are emerging of how the finished piece will look.

The £2 million project to improve the market place and transform it into a new ‘town plaza’ has inconvenienced businesses, shoppers and visitors alike since it started in July, but there is now light at the end of the tunnel.

The northern section of the market place is now largely complete, giving shoppers a little more room to complete their Christmas shopping.

Work is due to begin on the south end in the new year, and the project is set to be completed in March.

With sections now in place, it is possible to imagine what the end product will look like.

A spokesman for Boston Borough Council said the authority had received a lot of positive comments about the look and quality of the materials being laid, and many people have said it was much nicer to walk on.

Ornate seating and other furniture, interpretation boards and improved signage are to be installed in the new year.
