A meeting is set to take place tonight (Tuesday) to discuss plans for St Botolph’s Church’s £2 million culture bid.
The event, at 7pm, aims to launch church organisers’ new project called A Sacred Space for Everyone, which aims to transform the stump into a ‘centre for cultural learning, heritage interpretation and a place of welcome and hospitality’.
Part of the project will look for an investment of up to £2 million from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The second half of the meeting will include an open discussion looking for new ideas and a vision for the town and seeking ways organisations can work together.
Following tonight’s meeting the plans for St Botolph’s will be on display in the church from July 17 until September 6.
