A MEMORIAL concert is to be held in honour of Boston musician Ron Ledbury.
Mr Ledbury died late last year at the age of 79 after giving more than 40 years’ service to music in the town.
He was the musical director for many of Boston Operatic Society’s shows in the ‘70s and ‘80s and conducted the Boston Orchestra from 1990-2004.
He was also conductor for Spalding’s South Holland Singers from 1984-99.
The concert takes place on Sunday, March 20, at 2.30pm at the Centenary Methodist Chuch, in Red Lion Street.
It will last between 90 minutes to two hours and is free to enter, with donations accepted for Mr Ledbury’s chosen charities.
It will feature performances by, among others, The Boston Orchestra and South Holland Singers, classical as well as more modern pieces, and personal addresses.
