THE Queen has offered her congratulations to the Boston Standard in a letter to mark the paper’s centenary this week.

We wrote to HM The Queen to congratulate her on her Diamond Jubilee and mentioned that we too had a special milstone to mark in 2012.

We received a letter back from Buckingham Palace, part of which reads: “In return, The Queen sends her best wishes to both the staff and readers of the Boston Standard on this most special occasion.”

To see a copy of the full letter, plus messages from MP Mark Simmonds, Boston Borough Council leader Peter Bedford, Chief Inspector Paul Timmins, Canon Robin Whitehead and Lincolnshire County Council leader Martin Hill, pick up this week’s centenary edition of the Boston Standard.
