THREE classic car enthusiasts have donated £1,511.28 to charity after driving 2,055 miles - including 1042 from John O’Groats to Land’s End.
The trio, Nigel and Wendy Pack and Nena Fox, drove two MG cars - a 1972 Midget and a 1975 MGB Roadster - on the popular trek for Marie Curie Cancer Care over the course of four days as part of the Midget’s 50th birthday celebrations.
They even took along the car club’s mascot bear Benjy.
Nigel said: “We had a fantastic time and had the roof down while driving through Land’s End.
“The bad weather followed us all the way but we missed it all until we were coming back.”
Nigel said he suffered one setback when his starter jammed on the Saturday Morning.
