MAISIE Ann G. Ayre, of Freiston Road, Boston, has died, at Pilgrim Hospital.
She was 90.
Born in Boston, she lived in this area all her life.
A single woman, she is survived by sister Barbara and brother Tony.
On leaving Tower Road School, she worked as a shop assistant until enlisting in the WAAFs in 1941, serving for four years.
After returning to Boston, she worked in Woolworths and then at Lockwoods for 21 years, she was awarded a gold watch.
She enjoyed gardening and holidaying abroad and was a member of the ladies section of the Royal British Legion.
Her funeral took place at Boston Crematorium and was followed by cremation. The service was officiated by the Rev Simon Dowson.

Neale and Mr Ayre and Jane (nephews and nieces), Stephanie, Robin, Matthew, Lucas, Rosemary, Carolyn Sharp (great-nephews and great-nieces).
