Supermarket company Morrisons has confirmed it does not have plans to take over the Somerfield store in Boston.
Rumours have surfaced that the northern chain will be taking over the site on London Road when current owners the Co-op leave next month.
However, a spokesman for the firm confirmed yesterday (Monday) that Morrisons was not interested in the small supermarket.
Somerfield is due to close on November 17. A total of 31 members of staff will be affected by the closure.
