Motorist ‘seriously injured’ in collision

A man has suffered serious injuries in a road traffic collision at Brothertoft.

The collision occurred on the Main Road just after 6pm yesterday (Thursday), and involved a Peugeot 308, a VW Sharan and a stationary Citroen.

The driver of the Sharan, a 53-year-old local man, was taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital and later transferred to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

The driver of the Peugeot, a 41-year-old woman from Kirton, was arrested for failing to provide a breath sample.

The road reopened at 10pm.
