Motoryclist dies after being involved in crash near Boston

A motorcyclist has died after being involved in a collision with a car.

The crash happened yesterday (Wednesday) at about 4.19pm on the B1192 Main Road Langrick about 100m from the Witham and Blues pub.

The motorcyclist involved died at the scene of the collision. He was a 54-year-old man from the Stickney area. His close family members are aware of his death.

The 34-year-old female driver of the grey Audi A3 car involved was not injured, said police. She is from the Boston area.

The road re-opened at around 9pm.

The officer investigating the cause of the crash is Sgt Ewan Gell. He is keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision who has not yet spoken to the police.

He would also ask anyone who saw a red Yamaha 1000cc motorcycle travelling towards Langrick between 4.10pm and 4.19pm to get in touch.
