DONALD Walter Bridges (Don), of Woodville Road, Boston, has died at Pilgrim Hospital following a short illness.
He was 84.
Born in West Lynn, Norfolk, he lived in this area for more than 60 years.
A widower, he is survived by sons Mr D. Bridges and Mr M. Bridges, daughters Mrs A. Davy and Mrs G. Denniss, sister Mrs R. Rawlings, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr Bridges served in the armed forces in India and Burma before becoming an engineer.
He retired in 1991.
He enjoyed spending time with family and played dominoes for the Pigeon Club and cards at the Queen of Spades with friends.
His funeral took place at St Botolph’s Church, Boston and was followed by interment at Boston Cemetery. The service was officiated by Canon Robin Whitehead.

Denniss, Mr M. Denniss, and Mr C. Denniss (grandsons), Mr and Mrs M. Winship and Miss T. O’Keefe (granddaughter), Mr and Mrs R. Rawlings (sister), Mr R. Skinner (brother-in-law), Mrs N. Skinner, Mrs J. Skinner, Mrs J. Skinner, Mr and Mrs T.Doig, Mr and Mrs R. Skinner, Mr and Mrs B. Skinner, Mr and Mrs G. Skinner (sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law), Miss N. Fravigar (great-granddaughter) and nephews and nieces.
