Mr William Goodman (Bill)


WILLIAM Goodman (Bill), of Willoughby Road, Boston, has died at Pilgrim Hospital following an illness. He was 73.

Born in Boston, Mr Goodman lived in the area throughout his life. He was married to Brenda and had two daughters, Barbara Rennison and Alison Gross.

Following National Service with the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment, when he served in Malaya and Germany, he worked as a docker. After that he was a caretaker at John Fielding School.

His interests included gardening and fishing and he enjoyed breeding border canaries. He was a member of Boston Bird Club.

His funeral took place at Boston Crematorium and the Rev Simon Dowson officiated.

Chief family mourners were: Brenda Goodman (wife), Barbara and Michael Rennison (daughter and son-in-law), Alison and David Gross (daughter and son-in-law), Kirsty and Andrew Parsons (granddaughter and husband), Leanne Gross (granddaughter), Emma Rennison and Simon Ward (granddaughter and partner), Claire Rennison and Robert Dewars (granddaughter and partner), Bradley Ward (great-grandson), Isabelle Parsons (great-granddaughter), Violet Carter (sister), Alan and Sandra Goodman (brother and sister-in-law), Barbara and David Griggs and Brian and Joan Eastick (brothers and sisters in-law), David Manning (nephew), Andrew and Bridget Manning, Richard and Rachel Goodman, Gary and Sara Hurling, Mark and Wendy Griggs (nepwhews and wives), Beverley Goodman and Mark Cook (niece and partner), Mandy Goodman, Paula Malkinson, Julie Young and Joanne Coultham (nieces).
