DOREEN Margery Elizabeth Broadley, of Hunters Creek Nursing Home, has died at home following a short illness.
She was 92.
Born in Boston, she had lived in the area for her entire life.
A widow, she leaves behind daughter Christine, grandchildren Rachel, Catherine and Ian, and great-grandchildren Lauren and Freya.
Before her marriage in 1948, Mrs Broadley worked as a telephonist, She then became a housewife.
Her interests included sequence dancing and going on holiday. She was a member of the St Thomas’ Evening Fellowship, Boston Playgoers and Boston Music Club.
A service of thanksgiving was held at St Thomas’ Church in Boston and was followed by cremation.
The service was officiated by the Rev Hugh Jones.
Chief family mourners were: Mr and Mrs M. Cullen (daughter and son-in-law), Mr and Mrs C. Betts (granddaughter and husband), Miss R. Cullen (granddaughter), Mr I. Cullen and Miss J. Wilkes (grandson and girlfriend), Lauren and Freya Betts (great-granddaughters), Mrs M. Barton (sister-in-law) and Mrs H. Moses (niece).
