DOROTHY May Bontoft, of Carlton Road, Boston, has died at Pilgrim Hospital following illness.

She was 80.

Born in Boston, she had lived in the town all her life.

A single woman, she leaves sisters June Folwell, Hilda Nightingale, Grace Vines, Mavis Miller, nieces and nephews.

Mrs Bontoft was a retired factory operative.

Her hobbies and interests included wildlife and gardening.

Her funeral took place at Boston Crematorium and was officiated by Canon Robin Whitehead. The service was followed by cremation.

Chief family mourners were: Jim and June Folwell (sister and brother-in-law), Mavis Miller and Hilda Nightingale (sisters), Mr and Mrs William Daubney and Mr and Mrs Peter Mulholland (nieces and nephews), Carol Wright and Sheila Wilkinson and Mrs C. Bennett (nieces), Joan and Miss W. Bontoft (sister-in-law and niece) and Maria Mulholland and Mark (niece and fiancé).

Unable to attend: Grace Vines (sister).
