HILDA May Nightingale (Tilly), of Church Road, Boston, has died at Pilgrim Hospital following a short illness.
She was 93.
Born in Boston, she lived in the area her whole life.
A widow, she is survived by daughter Sandra, grandchildren Andrè and Maria and sisters Grace, June and Mavis.
During her working life Mrs Nightingale worked for Beaulah’s Canning Factory before becoming a supervisor cleaner at the social security offices until retirement.
In her spare time she enjoyed caravaning and holidays.
Later she became blind and belonged to Boston Social Club for the Blind and the Blind Outdoor Leisure Development charity run by Mary Clarke.
Her funeral took place at Boston Parish Church and was followed by cremation. The service was officiated by Father Chris Wedge.

Folwell (sister and brother-in-law), Mavis Miller and David Kempton (sister and partner), Margaret and Bill Daubney (niece), Sheila Wilkinson (niece), David Mulholland, Dennis and Maureen Mullholland and John and Christine Vines (nephews), Joan Bontoft (sister-in-law), Amanda and Wendy Bontoft (nieces) Adrian, Joseph and James Daubney (great-nephews) and Karen Bates, Lindy, Sammy and Georgie Laight (great-nieces).
