JOYCE Evelyn Scarborough, of Staniland Road, Boston, has died at home following illness.
She was 87.
Born in Coningsby, she lived in this area her entire life.
A widow, she is survived by son Graham, brothers David and Arthur, grandchildren Karl, Michelle, Steven, Nicholas and Mark, 18 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchldren.
During her working life she was a landlady of the Windmill Inn, she was also in service and worked at Boston Borough Council.
In her later years she was a housewife.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, completing needle point and writing poetry.
Mrs Scarborough’s funeral took place at Boston Crematorium and was followed by cremation. The service was officiated by the Rev Hugh Jones.
Chief family mourners were: Graham Scarborough (son), Arthur and David Cottingham (brothers), Karl and Helen Pick, Gavin and Michelle Moody, Nicholas and Cath Scarborough and Mark and Emma Scarborough (grandchildren and partners), Steven Scarborough (grandson), 18 great-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
