LILY May Charlton (Sal), of Hubberts Bridge, died at Pilgrim Hospital after suffering complications related to dementia.
She was 90.
She is survived by husband Dennis, brothers Sidney and Harold Chamberlain and sister Joyce Priestley.
Mrs Charlton was born in Boston and educated at St Botolph’s Church School. She moved to Southend-on-Sea after marrying husband Dennis and becoming a housewife. The pair moved back to Boston in later life.
She enjoyed domestic pursuits such as cooking, baking and needlework, as well as watching television, holidaying and going to the theatre in her younger years.
The funeral took place at Boston Crematorium on July 5. Dorothy Hood officiated.
Chief family mourners were: Dennis (husband), Joyce and Ray Priestley (sister and husband), Paul and Jane Chamberlain (nephew and wife), Gary Chamberlain (nephew), Karen Gilchrist (niece), Julie and Paul Spikings (niece and husband) Wendy and Dean Smith (niece and husband), Alan and Jan Charlton and Susan Christie (relatives on husband’s side).
Unable to attend: Harold and Sidney Chamberlain (brothers).
