LINA Giullari, of Donington, has died at Pilgrim Hospital after being taken ill suddenly.
She was 83.
Born in Bedonia, Italy, she lived in this area for 60 years.
A widow, she is survived by daughter Marilyn, son Paul and brothers Romeo, Bruno, Luciano and Ugo.
Early in her career, Mrs Giullari worked as an au pair, in London. When she got married she worked in poultry at a farm in Bridge End.
Later she worked as a box maker, then as a school cleaner at Donington Cowley School.
She loved meeting people and regularly attended a pop-in centre on Wednesdays.
Her funeral took place at Boston Crematorium and was followed by cremation. The service was officiated by Father Jim Burke.
Chief family mourners were: Paul Giullari (son), Marilyn Cook (daughter), Robert Cook (son-in-law), Kirsty Giullari (daughter-in-law), Sophia Cook and Charlotte Giullari (granddaughtes), Ryan Giullari (grandson), Bruno Tambini (brother), Olympia Tambini (sister-in-law), Eric Rambini and Fabrizio Tambini (nephews), Guillana and John Marriott (neice and husband), Giovani Tambini and Claus Tambini (cousins) and Ann and Mark Gedney (cousin and husband).
